ASAPs History
1985 Mark Phillips starts an aerial
advertising company, AirborneSpecialty Advertising &
Promotions (ASAP) from his bedroom. Roommates and a 12 pack
provide inspiration for the company name.
1986 Phillips sells a house, buys another house,
quits his job, takes ASAP full time & gets married
all in 6 weeks.
1987 Aerial advertising is abandoned in favor of
giant inflatables, banners and other attention getters.

Space Needle and 4 other office towers nationwide

1988 Company name is changed to ASAP Promotions
1989 ASAP moves to first "real" office
warehouse 1500 sq. ft.
1990 Growth forces move to 5,000 sq. ft. office warehouse.
1991 Phillips establishes the Inflatable Advertising
Dealers Association (IADA), as the industry grows.
1992 ASAP acquires Trimble Searchlights, Indianapolis,
IN
1993 Flood (ouch!) at ASAP warehouse reinforces need
to re-locate
1994 ASAP moves to 10,000 sq. ft. office warehouse.
1998 ASAP moves again to 17,000 sq. ft. office warehouse.
Reflecting the focus on special events, the Company name
is changed to ASAP Event Advertising
1999 ASAPEVENTS.COM debutes
2000 ASAP celebrates 15th anniversary
2002 We complete our 40,000th event!!
